How to Leverage a Cloud Native Data Loss Prevention Platform

How to leverage a Cloud-Native DLP that Works^tm Solution

A cloud-native Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution can be a powerful tool to protect sensitive data in modern cloud environments. Here are some steps you can take to leverage a cloud-native DLP solution:

1. Identify your sensitive data: The first step in leveraging a DLP solution is to identify the types of data you need to protect. This includes data that is regulated by industry or government standards, such as credit card numbers or personal health information, as well as any proprietary or confidential data unique to your organization.
2. Determine the scope of your cloud environment: Next, you’ll need to determine the scope of your cloud environment. This includes identifying which cloud platforms you’re using, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as any on-premises or hybrid cloud components.
3. Choose a cloud-native DLP solution: There are several cloud-native DLP solutions available, so you’ll need to choose one that meets your specific needs. Look for a solution that integrates with your cloud environment, offers a virtual zero false positive detection rate, and provides comprehensive coverage for the types of data you need to protect.
4. Configure your DLP policies: Once you’ve selected your DLP solution, you’ll need to configure your policies. This involves setting rules and parameters for how your sensitive data is identified, monitored, and protected.
5. Test your DLP solution: Before deploying your DLP solution in a production environment, it’s important to test it thoroughly. This includes testing your policies to guarantee they’re accurately identifying and protecting sensitive data, as well as monitoring the impact of the solution on your cloud environment’s performance.
6. Monitor and refine your DLP solution: Once your DLP solution is deployed, you’ll need to monitor its effectiveness and make adjustments as needed. This includes regularly reviewing your policies and refining them based on your organization’s evolving needs and any new threats that emerge.

By following these steps, you can leverage a cloud-native DLP solution to protect your sensitive data in the cloud and guarantee compliance with industry and government regulations.
